Comfortable Being Uncomfortable ..

I first heard this term "Comfortable Being Uncomfortable", 4 years ago when I first joined this company and written it down on my office whiteboard. To me it was another of those nice sayings and did not give much thought to this and it just passed off my memory. However, as part of a new Leadership series that am part of - when I again heard this term being repeated and elaborated upon, I was truly intrigued. Consider this, what does it take a seed to germinate. After soaking in water overnight, it needs to be pushed inside the tilled soil for the roots to grow and shoots to come out. It cannot just grow otherwise. Similarly, routines and habits make you feel at ease, in control and dull your sensitivities and creativity. Routines take less energy, require little effort and reduce creativity needed for problem solving. Sometimes, you just need those moments of chaos to shrug ourselves and wake up our brain from laziness. So, when challenge comes up - we are not running, hidi...

Fear vs Faith ..

This year I have re-committed myself to journaling at least once every week. It helps clarify my thoughts and put things into perspective.  There are 2 forces that control your life - FAITH and FEAR. Consider  How do you accept your core? NE - New Experiences PM - Physical Mastery  & CM - Cognitive Mastery RBB - Rewire your brain and body PM is how you respond on a bad day. Adversity is a demonstration of true character. CM is when its in our mind as a natural thing.  NE is when you are actively involving yourself by coming out of the resting place and breaking the condition of being.  Our survival brain is our biggest enemy. So, we need to put NE + PM = RBB to rewire our brain and body!  What will guarantee your failure ? RA - Running Away RS - Rationalize softening NC - Not Corrigible/Coachable CM - Closed Mind RA is arguing for our limitations, not showing up and willing to be vulnerable.  RS is when you tell yourself that status quo is o...

Self Mastery is a state to live through ..

Of late I have been going through some great seminars on managing your daily energy levels, resilience, self-awareness, self-mastery, decision making and getting to peak level of performance. It's just great to see that my life is becoming fuller again - the Universe is speaking to me through so many different channels and fueling my depleted state to new awakening, new state of blissfulness and hopefully a new state of being where my past limiting beliefs are overwritten with new self beliefs, optimistic thoughts and breakthroughs that I thought was never possible. I strongly belief that am laying a new strong foundation for self and family that will change the course of my career, finance, health, personal and social relationships and spiritual alignment. To start this new state of being, I would like to dwell a little on self-awareness. How much of us truly know our true self and what it wants. For years on, it was subjected to conditioning that created so many layers that you d...

My relationship with T.I.M.E.

Well from an early age, we are constantly being told - "Get up on time", "Quickly get ready for school", "Hurry up - you will miss the school bus"! You got to be in school on-time or get punishments for being late. You got to run to different periods (on-time) and then return back from school. Then run to after-school activities like soccer, swimming, maths classes etc. So, on a daily basis you are constantly up against TIME. In your school exams, you need to think and write fast to complete paper on-time, you win races by being ahead of others and beating them on time. Then as your life moves on, it's race to complete your degree, get a job, progress to higher roles, get married, have kids - you end up being a time-machine constantly running against TIME. One mis-step and you fall back and feel afraid to losing out. Then you keep running - morning to evening, office to home, one deadline to next, pushing your children along. You get stressed, worried ...

Refresh, Recharge, Rejuvenate ..

The past year has been quite tumultuous for me both professionally and personally. It started off with me getting the dreaded Covid disease, followed by ticket for driving to having my manager leave the organization. Just to give a one-liner, I had never imagined life will turn upside down in the same organization when your manager quits but that will be a longer post to analyze what went right or wrong and how I like to do things differently so that am not in a similar situation in future. Fast forward December - one of my favorite months when the melody of the Jingle sound and the dazzling Christmas lights in everyone's front-yard brings the much needed cheer to the long, cold, rainy and dark evenings. One of the greatest blessings I have had in the past few years has been the complete shutdown at Christmas time at the work place. I have never understood the meaning of that till I experienced it for the first time in 2018. Just the fact that I did not have to open the laptop to l...
